BACHMANN F40PH NJ TRANSIT DIESEL ENGINE HO SCALE


Introduced in the mid-1970s, EMD's F40PH was the backbone of Amtrak's passenger lines nationwide, with more than 400 locomotives in service at the peak of its run. As technology advanced, Amtrak's roster of F40PH diesels were sold to railroads throughout North America, where a few remain in service today.

Features include:
DCC ready 5-pole, skew wound motor with hardened carbon brushes
8 wheel drive
Dual flashing electronic strobes (per prototype)
Die-cast chassis
Finescale detail parts including metal grab irons, windshield wipers, horns, and coils
Open fans with blades
Prototypically accurate Blumberg M truck design
Lighted number boards RP25 metal wheels
E-Z Mate Mark II couplers
